We Needed A Community,
and A Community Needs A Newsletter

I arrived in San Francisco in 2001 from Tokyo, Japan. After searching a while in and around Japantown for a group I can join and make friends with people who speak Japanese, I was disappointed to discover that no such thing existed. So, along with a couple of people I met, I decided to organize one. Three years have passed, and I am happy to say the group keeps attracting new people. I am the editor, the only designer, and the chief cheerleader for this monthly publication. It is called Waiwai! Chronicle, and we are determined to make it a San Francisco tradition, like the name suggests.
