Fur-Bearing Trout
The fur-bearing trout has a thick coat of fur to keep itself warm in the cold waters. They are said to be found in the northern regions of North America. Some stories say they acquired fur when a traveling salesman accidentally dropped bottles of hair growth tonic in the river.
I have seen an old, stuffed and mounted specimen at Ripley's Believe It Or Not museum in San Francisco. The fish looked a little too furry to be able to swim.
Here's my take on the entity, discussing drinks and dinner on Gold Alley. Although not many people wear fur in the animal rights conscious California, big coats like these would be really nice for foggy San Francisco evenings.
