Zombies in Louisiana

The first time I visited New Orleans I went because I wanted to meet the vampires and zombies. That was right after I discovered Anne Rice. During that first visit I never saw any monsters, but I fell in love with the place, and just kept going back. Mostly for the food, the music and the people... But it's not like I've given up on meeting monsters yet. One of these days I'm determined to catch a glimpse.

Here's a picture of a zombie family doing a swamp tour at night. The young gator is swimming away from the zombies, probably because they smell funny.

Taking a swamp tour is one of the basic touristy things you can do in New Orleans, besides getting drunk on Bourbon Street on the appropriately named Hurricanes. Actually it is about as much fun.
